Passion, Knowledge, and Experience, are the key attributes that make Michael Giakoumis an expert in his field.
Since year 11 P.E. where he decided physiotherapy was the profession he wanted to do, Michael has had the sole focus of becoming one of the best sports physiotherapist worldwide.
Having graduated from the University of South Australia, Adelaide and subsequently completing his Masters in Strength & Conditioning and Sports Physiotherapy at Edith Cowan University, Perth and La Trobe University, Melbourne respectively, Michael has spent his whole career accumulating knowledge related to his areas of specialty.
Throughout his career, Michael has worked in elite sport, acting as the lead physiotherapist to a Men’s football academy and Women’s first team, AFL and with Olympic level track and field athletes at British Athletics. He currently works within Football across multiple clubs and managing a specialised rehabilitation unit for complex cases for its organisation. Alongside this, Michael works at London’s leading health clinic, Marylebone Health Group (MHG).
His passion, knowledge and experience hence make Michael a specialist in the area of the hip and groin, complex knee and lower limb muscle and tendon injuries.
